Vroom Grooms LLC is committed to providing a safe, sanitary, and stress‑free grooming experience for every dog in our care. To protect the health of your pet, the groomer, and all other dogs on the schedule, we cannot groom dogs who arrive with certain medical or health conditions.
🚫 Dogs We Cannot Groom for Safety Reasons
- Dogs with active flea infestations — Fleas spread quickly in small, enclosed spaces like a mobile grooming van. They also create an unsanitary environment for the next dog and can lead to skin irritation, infections, and allergic reactions.
- Dogs with open wounds, injuries, or visible pain — Grooming can worsen injuries, cause additional discomfort, or interfere with healing. Injured dogs may also react unpredictably due to pain.
- Dogs with stitches, staples, or recent surgical sites — Water, shampoo, brushing, and handling can reopen wounds, introduce bacteria, or delay healing.
- Dogs with untreated skin infections or contagious conditions — These can spread to other pets and may worsen with grooming products or friction.
- Dogs showing signs of illness (vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, coughing) — Sick dogs need rest and veterinary care, not grooming. Illness can also spread to other pets or create unsafe conditions during the groom.
🐾 Why This Policy Exists
These restrictions are not about inconvenience—they are about safety, sanitation, and ethical care.
- Protecting your dog: Grooming an injured, sick, or medically compromised dog can cause pain, stress, or further harm.
- Protecting other clients: Fleas, infections, and contagious conditions can spread quickly in a mobile environment.
- Protecting the groomer: Handling injured or uncomfortable dogs increases the risk of bites, scratches, and accidents.
- Maintaining a clean, safe workspace: The van must remain sanitary for every dog on the route. Infestations or contamination can shut down the schedule for hours or days.
❤️ Our Commitment
Vroom Grooms LLC will always prioritize the wellbeing of your dog above all else. If your pet is experiencing any of the conditions listed above, grooming will need to be postponed until they are cleared by a veterinarian or fully healed.
