Thank Goodness It's Friday Again: Grateful for the Vroom Grooms Dogs

Here we are at Friday again. The second Friday in the new weekly blog rhythm at Vroom Grooms LLC, and once again it is the day for being grateful. Last Friday’s post was a longer thank-you note covering the senior dogs, the puppies, the rescues, the difficult dogs, and everyone in between. This Friday is shorter, sweeter, and focused on one simple truth: I am grateful for every dog that comes through the van, and I am grateful for the owners who trust me to take care of them.

What Friday Has Become

Friday used to be just another workday for me. Grooming days, driving days, the regular rhythm. Now Friday is the day I take a step back and appreciate what the rest of the week has been. The dogs I have seen. The owners I have talked to. The new puppies who came in for the first time and were brave about it. The seniors who have been clients for years and still wag their tails at the van. The dogs in between, the ones I see every 4 to 6 weeks, who are part of the rhythm of my work.

All of it matters. Every single dog. Every single owner. Every single appointment.

What I Notice This Week

This week, I noticed:

– A puppy who came in for the second groom and did not shake once. She just stood at the door and looked at me. I took that as progress.

– A senior dog with new grey on his face. He is 11 now. He has been my client for 4 years. He still loves the dryer.

– An owner who sent a thank-you text after the appointment. She said the dog’s coat had never looked better. That made my whole Friday.

– A dog who was terrified of the brush the first time. Now she wags her tail when she sees it. Three appointments and she is a different dog.

– A double-coated breed in the middle of a major blow coat. The undercoat was coming out in clumps. A 6-week appointment was not enough to keep up. We added a 4-week visit during the seasonal transition.

Things like that happen every week. They are small things. They are also everything. I get to do this work. That is the Friday thank-you.

What Is Coming Up

The weekend is here. Saturday is the wind-down day. Sunday is the website tour. Monday is the fresh start. Tuesday is potty breaks. Wednesday is more weird facts. Thursday is schedule adjustments. Friday is gratitude again. The cycle continues. The dogs keep coming. The work keeps happening.

I am grateful for every part of it.

The Bottom Line

Friday. The end of the week. The day to be grateful. I am grateful for you, for your dog, for the trust you put in me when you book an appointment, and for the chance to do this work. Thank you for being part of Vroom Grooms. See you at the next appointment.
