Accepting New Clients — With Limited Availability

One of the most common questions I receive is, “Are you accepting new clients?”
The answer is yes — but with limited availability.

As a solo mobile groomer, every day is carefully structured around travel routes, dog sizes, coat needs, temperament, safety, and the time required for each individual pup. Because of that, my schedule fills quickly, and openings for new families are naturally limited. But I love welcoming new dogs into the grooming family when space allows.

Why Availability Is Limited

Mobile grooming is not like a traditional salon where multiple groomers can work at once. It’s a one‑on‑one, start‑to‑finish service that prioritizes:

  • Safety
  • Comfort
  • Low‑stress handling
  • Personalized care
  • Predictable routines for each dog

Each appointment is a dedicated block of time, and there are only so many blocks in a day. Adding new clients means making sure I can maintain the same level of care and consistency for the dogs already on a regular schedule.

Who I Can Take On Right Now

Openings depend on a few factors:

  • Your location and how it fits into existing routes
  • Your dog’s size, coat type, and grooming needs
  • Your preferred grooming frequency
  • The time of day you’re available

If everything aligns, I’m happy to welcome new pups into the rotation.

Why Regular Scheduling Matters

To keep the grooming day safe and efficient, most clients are on a recurring schedule. This helps:

  • Prevent matting and coat issues
  • Reduce stress for your dog
  • Keep nails, skin, and hygiene in good shape
  • Ensure predictable appointment times
  • Maintain a smooth, organized route

New clients who can commit to a regular grooming cycle are the easiest to fit in.

Life Happens — And That’s Okay

I understand that schedules change, priorities shift, and unexpected things come up. I never expect perfection. What matters most is communication and consistency so I can keep the day running smoothly for everyone on the route.
