Running a mobile grooming salon means every day is an adventure, but some days just completely steal your heart. This Tuesday, the Vroom Grooms van was filled with so much love, progress, and pure joy that I just had to sit down and share it with all of you.
We had a very special pack inside the mobile spa today—four incredible siblings who each brought their own unique personality to the table. From brave post-surgery milestones to treat-obsessed antics, today was a beautiful reminder of why I love what I do.
Here is a look behind the scenes of today’s “Dogs of the Day!”
Scoobie: The Ultimate Comeback Queen
First up is sweet little Scoobie. I’m just going to say it—she is genuinely one of the sweetest and most rewarding dogs I have ever had the privilege of grooming.
Scoobie recently went through major knee surgery, which is always a stressful time for a pet and their family. But this little lady is a absolute fighter! She is recovering beautifully and doing so incredibly well.
The absolute best part of her visit? The post-bath celebration! There is nothing quite like the pure bliss of a dog doing victory rolls on a fresh towel after a bath. Seeing her roll around with so much happiness, completely unfazed by her recent surgery, absolutely melted me. 😍🤣
Marley: Eyes on the Prize
Next up is Scoobie’s brother, Marley the Shih Tzu. Now, normally Marley is right there matching Scoobie’s energy with some epic towel rolls of his own. It’s usually a staple of his spa routine!
Today, however, Marley had other priorities. Major priorities.
He completely skipped the gymnastics and went straight into business mode: the treat-scouting mission. He was so focused on making sure the treat jar didn’t escape his sight that he couldn’t be bothered with anything else. LOL! Hey, a guy has to look out for his snacks, right? Either way, he is just completely adorable, and I’m already looking forward to his next visit.
Rocky: The Big, Happy Puppy
Then we have Rocky the Pitty! Don’t let his handsome, big-guy stature fool you—Rocky is still very much a big, goofy puppy at heart.
The second he saw the van roll up, his tail was going a mile a minute. He couldn’t have been any happier to see me, and that massive, classic Pitty smile was on full display. There is something so incredibly special about the love and loyalty of a Pit Bull puppy. He is just a giant pile of sweetness!
Love: Finding Confidence, One Spa Day at a Time
Last but certainly not least is sister Love. Her name fits her perfectly, even if she is a very shy little lady.
Watching Love’s journey has been one of the greatest highlights of my grooming career. She used to be so timid, but she has come such an incredibly long way. With the support of her amazing brothers Marley and Rocky, she is gaining confidence and coming out of her shell more and more with every single spa day.
She is still a little too bashful to take a treat straight out of an open hand. But we’ve figured out a little system! If you gently slide a treat right into her jaw, she will happily and slowly munch away on it. Haha! Progress takes time, patience, and a little bit of creativity, and Love is proof that a gentle approach makes all the difference.
Trust, Patience, and Mobile Spa Magic
Days like today are exactly why I chose the mobile grooming life. Being able to provide a one-on-one, stress-free environment inside the van allows dogs like Scoobie to safely celebrate their post-surgery recovery, gives pups like Marley room to hunt for treats, lets Rocky bounce around with puppy joy, and gives sweet Love the quiet space she needs to build her confidence.
