Scarlett the Sweetheart
First up was Scarlett, and the name fits — a very sweet girl through and through. She arrived ready to negotiate: showers of kisses as distractions, as if to say, if I distract you, we won’t have to get groomed, right? Nice try, miss! Once she settled in, she asked politely to be lifted up, got her ears trimmed, and her poor little tail had a big knot that needed patient work. By the end? A silky, flowing blowout, a bright “ta-da!” moment, and her little bows in place. She posed chin-on-paws for the camera like the star she is.
Archie the Brave Boy
Archie is a very nervous boy — anxious all around, with a nervous pant to prove it. But here is the thing: when his mom handed him over, he came right up and gave me smooches. Excited to see me, just not thrilled about the groom itself. I like this lady, I just don’t want to get groomed. Fair enough, Archie! He got his scrub-a-dub-dub in the tub — tail and all — a full dry and tidy-up, and took every step like a champ. Treat earned. Very good boy, confirmed.
