Ruh-roh! Hello, it’s me, Scooby!
Today my friend Velma got dressed up as Velma. Which is a very good costume, because that is just her clothes. Scooby thought that was funny for a long time.
Three dogs came today. Three! Scooby is not scared of dogs. Scooby is scared of ghosts, and thunderstorms, and the dark, and sometimes the vacuum cleaner. But not dogs.

Sophie
Sophie came first. Sophie is a very good girl. Velma said “her name is Sophie” in a very serious voice, like it was important to get right, so Scooby is getting it right: SOPHIE.
Sophie got a couple little snackies, and she said those were good snackies. Then it got very loud for a while, because the big windy machine came out, and Velma turned herself off so nobody had to listen to it. Scooby understands completely. Scooby also turns himself off when things get loud. Mostly by hiding behind Shaggy.

Gracie
Gracie is a girl. Velma had to say this many, many times today, because people kept getting it wrong. So Scooby is writing it down where everybody can see: Gracie is a girl, and she is a very good one.
Gracie got her picture taken and she was VERY excited about it. Velma kept saying “Gracie, sit” and “Gracie, sit, Gracie, Gracie” and “calm down, relax girl, I just want a couple pictures.” Gracie did not want to sit. Gracie wanted to wiggle. Scooby respects a dog who will not sit still for a photo. Scooby IS that dog.
Then Gracie was all finished and on her way to the door, which is the best part of the whole day, because that means everybody did a good job.

Fin
Fin came last, and Fin is full of drama. Scooby is not being rude. Velma said it a whole bunch of times: “Boy, Finny.” “You’re ridiculous, but Finny.” “So dramatic, Finny.” “Finney’s full of drama.” She also called him a big old baby. So it must all be true.
Fin had his nails done and his back beans done. Scooby does not like the nail thing either. Then Velma asked “can I brush you?” and Fin said no, no, no, no, no. Then she said “get your booty up here” a lot of times in a row. Then she said, “He’s like, heck no, I will not be doing face right now.” Scooby has never agreed with a dog so much in his life.
Fin got his earlobes done, which Velma called earlobes, and Scooby loves that. Then Velma brought out a Scooby toy and asked if Fin wanted to play with Scooby, and asked would he tear it up in a heartbeat. Fin did not answer. Fin is dramatic.

And tomorrow Velma is going to be somebody else again. Scooby hopes it is a ghost. Then Scooby can be scared and excited at the same time. Scooby is very good at that.
Scooby-Dooby-Doo! Until next time, my furry friends!
