What a wonderful Wednesday it has been inside the mobile spa! Today was all about building trust, celebrating old friends, and enjoying some surprisingly peaceful grooming sessions. When you work with dogs under the philosophy of Humanity Over Vanity, days like today—where patience truly pays off—are the absolute best.
Here is the recap of the lovely ladies who stepped into the van today:
🐾 Rosie: The Feisty (But Trusting!) Shih Tzu Mix
Rosie is an absolutely adorable Shih Tzu mix who usually likes to keep Nicole on her toes. Because of an old injury, she is typically pretty feisty and protective over her front legs during grooming. But today? Today was a massive win! Nicole only got a single, brief snarl out of her the entire time. Nicole isn’t complaining at all—in fact, she is incredibly happy. Seeing Rosie let her guard down proves she is gaining real trust in Nicole, and that is the highest compliment a groomer can get.
🐾 Desna: The Ultimate Boxer Cuddle Bug
Next up was Desna the Boxer! This sweet lady might not be much of a puppy anymore, but don’t tell her that. She still gives the absolute best puppy cuddles you could ever ask for! Desna is such a little ham and knows exactly how to melt hearts. There is nothing quite like a big Boxer lean and some sweet head-rests to make a grooming session feel like pure joy.
🐾 Moosie: The Sweet English Springer Spaniel
Finishing out our Wednesday was Moosie, a gorgeous English Springer Spaniel. Moosie is naturally a shy, nervous little lady who can be quite spicy from time to time when she’s feeling unsure. But today was definitely a good day! Moosie was nothing but a sweet, gentle girl throughout her entire visit. She is such a pretty dog, and it was a pleasure to see her feel so calm and relaxed.
Groomer’s Note: Days like today remind us why we do what we do. Meeting each dog where they are—whether they are dealing with old injuries, senior joints, or big anxieties—makes these peaceful breakthroughs so incredibly rewarding.
