Mobile Dog Grooming in Grand Rapids, OH
5-STAR MOBILE GROOMING IN GRAND RAPIDS.
Grand Rapids, Ohio is one of the most charming villages in all of Wood County — a historic canal town along the Maumee River where outdoor recreation is a way of life. The scenic towpath trails, river access, and beloved festivals draw people from across Northwest Ohio to this little gem. And in a town this outdoorsy, dogs are absolutely everywhere — hiking, swimming, exploring, and collecting the kind of enthusiastic mud that only a professional grooming can properly address. Labs, Pointers, and sporting breeds thrive here.
Vroom Grooms is thrilled to bring professional mobile grooming to Grand Rapids. Out here, access to top-tier pet services has always meant a drive to the city — but not anymore. Our completely self-contained mobile salon parks right in your driveway, no hookups required, and your groomer delivers a five-star grooming experience for dogs of every breed and adventure level. From muddy Labradors fresh off a Maumee River trail to perfectly primped Poodles with impeccably high standards, we handle every dog with the expert care and genuine enthusiasm they deserve.

NO LONG DRIVE NEEDED
Top-tier grooming used to mean a drive to the city. Our fully self-contained salon parks in your driveway instead, no hookups required.
EVERY BREED, EVERY TEMPERAMENT
From muddy Labs fresh off the towpath to nervous dogs who have never had a good grooming experience, every appointment is one dog, full attention.
A GROOMER WHO KNOWS GRAND RAPIDS.
Grand Rapids is a historic canal town on the Maumee River where outdoor recreation is simply how people live. The towpath trails, river access, and the town’s festivals all keep dogs outside and active, and that is exactly the kind of dog whose coat needs real maintenance.
Out here, access to professional pet services has always meant a drive into the city, which is a hard sell for a dog that hates the car. Bringing the salon to the driveway removes that problem entirely and gets the same standard of grooming a city client would get.
Credentials
640+ HOURS BEFORE THE FIRST APPOINTMENT.
Every Vroom Grooms groomer completes more than 640 hours of hands-on training and holds professional certifications in coat handling, breed-specific grooming, and safe restraint before they ever work with a client’s dog. That is the entry bar, not the ceiling.
We are growing the team deliberately rather than quickly. Every groomer trains to the same standard and keeps their certifications current, because a nervous dog does not care how busy our schedule is. They only care whether the hands holding the clippers know what they are doing.
Good To Know
GRAND RAPIDS DOG GROOMING QUESTIONS.
How do I keep up with a river and trail dog’s coat?
Get them on a four to six week cycle and deal with burrs the day you find them. Towpath and river dogs collect seed heads that work down to the skin and tighten into mats, plus river silt that sits in the coat and keeps it damp near the skin. That damp is where skin problems start.
Is it worth driving to the city for a groomer?
Not if you can avoid it, and for a lot of dogs the drive is the hard part. Out here, access to professional grooming has always meant a trip into Toledo, which is a genuine barrier for a dog that hates the car. The salon coming to your driveway removes that entirely.
Do you shave dogs in summer?
Not double-coated breeds. A double coat insulates against heat, so shaving takes away protection and often grows back patchy. Proper deshedding clears the loose undercoat and keeps the dog cooler without damaging the coat.
How long does a full groom take?
About ninety minutes to two hours depending on breed, coat condition, and how much matting we are working through.
Can you work at a rural property?
Yes. The van is fully self-contained, so it does not need your water, power, or a garage to work from. It parks and runs anywhere.
